Charles Darwin Research station, on Puerto Ayora, it´s placed this emblematic national park, where scientists and volunteers are working for research and conservation efforts. The most important involve a captive breeding program for giant tortoises. Pathways leading through desert vegetation where you can have a fascinating view of these Galápagos giants. There’s also a baby tortoise house with incubators when they are around 4 years, they are repatriated back to their native home.

El Chato tortoise reserve, its located on Santa Cruz Island, it’s a must for a Galapagos islands trip,  giant tortoises can be observed in the wild, free, with no fences. This reserve is part of the National Park.

Sierra Negra, at Isabela Island, is one of the most active volcanoes in the Galapagos, a beautiful view of lava fields and fumaroles can be contemplated.
